About Veronika’s Diary
Somewhere I belong.
Veronika’s Diary is a cinematic journal inspired by my real life. It explores belonging, loneliness, grief, healing, and burnout recovery through writing, voice-over, and visual storytelling.
This project comes from something that became impossible to ignore: inner work is not always enough on its own. You can work on trauma, regulate your nervous system, and do everything you are supposed to do, and still end up at a breaking point. Not because you failed, but because human beings are not meant to do this alone.
We need support.
We need safe connection.
We need to feel seen, understood, and held by a village.
When life keeps hitting you and you still have to get back up again and again, the absence of that village changes everything. What hurts is not only the loss, the pressure, or the exhaustion. It is having to carry it all on your own, without anyone there to support you or hold space for you.
At first, I thought this would become a book. But when I tried to write it, the words felt too flat. What emerged instead was something more immediate and more alive.
That became Veronika’s Diary.
Creating Veronika’s Diary is part of my own process. It allows me to transform lived experience into something that ignites my creativity and lightens my heart. It is both healing and therapeutic.
This video diary follows grief, burnout recovery, loneliness, emotional survival, and the search for belonging in a world that has always made me feel like a misfit.
It is an exploration of what it means to lose, to endure, and to find the strength to get back up and eventually find where you belong.
I invite you to get to know Veronika…
